he hears you.

March 9, 2008

Ah. So I’ve survived what’s probably the last 3-week “peak period” of my young life.

“Peak period”, of course, refers to the time during my holidays that I’m away at camps/overseas.

In Year 1, was running camps for EOA + comm training.

In Year 2, was running camps for EOA + comm training.

In Year 3, (surprise surprise) was running camps for EOA + comm training.

Yes, aside from the fact that even my holidays are pretty predictable, I’m going to miss my “peak period”.

It’s during the 3 weeks that I have no time to think about anything else but what I’m doing.

When I go to sleep at night during these 3 weeks, the only thing on my mind is to worry if I can get up on time the next morning.

Of course, there’s the fatigue, what with late nights, screaming at sec 3 kids to line up, blah blah.

But I guess it feels good to compartmentalise your life. It seems easier to manage. I don’t know if I can describe the feeling correctly, but it is rather liberating.

Maybe it’s cause I take on different persona with different people. So it helps to know that for a certain period of time, I take on the appropriate persona without having to switch them at the blink of an eye.

“It’s really quite scary that you can switch personalities so well and so quickly.”

Yes. It scares me too.
